Chosen Name Change

In support of the College's commitment to providing an equitable and safe experience for students whose legal name does not reflect their gender identity or expression, King’s accepts requests from such students to use a chosen first and/or middle name on certain college records. A student’s chosen name will be used where feasible in all college systems unless the student’s legal name is required by law, deemed necessary by college policy, or the student's requested name is determined to be for intent of misrepresentation. Submit the Student Name Change Form, and the Registrar’s Office will receive notification.

SMART (Student Mentoring, Achievement, and Resiliency Teams)

This program matches first-year and new transfer students with a peer mentor—a King’s sophomore, junior, or senior—to create a small group of students for weekly conversations about adjusting to life at King’s, balancing school and other commitments, attaining mental health and wellness, and more. Each SMART Team is overseen by a faculty or staff mentor as well. Apply to the SMART program here.
