Applying for financial aid can be confusing and stressful, but the King’s College Office of Financial Aid takes the guesswork out of the application process. We’ve laid out everything you need to know on the following pages, including important deadlines, application guidance, and suggestions for alternative resources for financial support.
We encourage families to use our Student Financial Aid Checklist and the timetable below to keep on track with next steps.
Financial Aid Timetable
OCTOBER 1 - FEBRUARY 15
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online at www.studentaid.gov as of October 1. Students and parents should first register for an FSA user ID Account (FSA ID). Applicants should file the FAFSA using King's College Federal Institutional Code 003282 by the preferred filing deadline of February 15. Applicants filing after the preferred deadline will still be processed for aid.
Once the FAFSA is successfully processed by the Department of Education, the applicant will receive a Student Aid Report, which outlines the information officially submitted and serves as confirmation the application was processed. From this report, King’s College will be able to process a Financial Aid Offer, which will come later.
Accepted students will receive notifications to their email and home address listed on their admission application to view their Financial Aid Offer. Students should respond promptly to any requests for additional information.
Students and families must complete online entrance loan counseling and required loan agreement/master promissory notes for direct loans at studentaid.gov. Additional information on payment plans and federal and private loans will be sent to accepted students.
