March 20, 2017 - Award-winning author Susan Muaddi Darraj has been named the keynote speaker for the annual King’s-Wilkes Women’s and Gender Studies Conference. Muaddi Darraj will discuss feminism and representations of Arab women during the free, public lecture at 7 p.m. Monday, April 10, in the Burke Auditorium at King’s College. 

March 20, 2017 - King’s College Theatre Department will host the inaugural George P. and Giovita Maffei Family High School Shakespeare Competition on Saturday, April 22, in the George P. Maffei II Theatre. High school students will participate in acting and writing competitions for cash prizes by presenting material from Shakespearean literature in various artistic forms.

March 10, 2017 - Officials of King’s College and Villanova University recently completed an affiliation agreement that will allow either King’s juniors or seniors guaranteed admission and an annual scholarship to Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law given they meet grade-point-average and Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) requirements.

March 8, 2017 - Prize-winning poet and Guggenheim Fellowship recipient Gregory Orr will read excerpts from his creative works at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Burke Auditorium at King’s College. The event is free and open to the public. Orr is the 2016-17 Visiting Writer, a program sponsored by the College’s English Department. He will also work with English students on their creative writing as part of a two-day campus residency.

March 8, 2017 - David Marchetti, associate clinical professor in sports medicine and athletic trainer at King’s College, has been selected as the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Young Professional’s Committee National Distinction Award.
