The Office of College Marketing and Communications provides creative services to King’s College faculty, staff, and students to consistently represent and communicate our institution’s mission to prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni, our local community, media, and elected officials. Our staff are happy to offer marketing and communications solutions that strengthen our institution’s brand and reputation for academic excellence. All projects completed through our office will be: 

  • Designed following the College’s visual standards 
  • Branded in accordance with the College’s official guidelines 
  • Written to reflect the College’s voice and writing style 
  • Aligned with current enrollment, retention, and marketing initiatives 

Please complete the MarComm Project Request Form. Your request will be reviewed and escalated based on scope, timeliness, production time, and budget. Priority will be given to projects that provide the highest impact to the College. The appropriate Office of College Marketing and Communications staff member will then be in contact to finalize details.

Design - Digital  

Event poster or graphic to be used in email or social media; advertisement for social media or website; billboard design. These pieces are often paired with printed designs.

Event poster, invitation, or program; informational brochure; academic flatsheet; mailer; travel piece or handout; logo; merchandise. These pieces are often paired with digital designs.

Media - Event  

If you are hosting an event and wish to have local media present for coverage. This is usually reserved for important institutional news and developments. 

2-3 weeks  

Media - Release  

If you have any impactful news that is good for the community to know, such as a program accomplishment, student or employee achievement, or an upcoming event. If applicable, a photo can be arranged to accompany a release. 

1-2 weeks  

Media - Social  

Social media posts include a written description, an accompanying image, and any relevant links. Often done in coordination with other creative and media requests.

Photo - Snapshot  

Requests for professional headshots or “grip and grin” photos used for media releases.

Photo - Production  

Session photoshoots that use an in-house or hired photographer. These shoots require pre-planning and advanced scheduling. Budget a minimum of $250/hour. Quotes will be provided to you prior to booking. Schedule pending photographer availability.

6-8 weeks  

Video – Event Recording  

Event recordings will be handled by IITS but often are in coordination with additional requests for media releases, creative, and social media. 

1-2 weeks  

Video - Production  

Video productions booked in half- or full-day sessions using an external vendor. These productions require storyboarding, advanced scheduling, production, and post-production editing. Budget anywhere from $1,500-5,000, although each project cost will be based on a variety of factors. Quotes will be provided to you prior to booking. Schedule pending production company availability.  

6-8 weeks  

Web Content Upload  

Updates to content, including images, text, and linked files. Time must be factored in to review files for brand and ADA compliance.

Web Page - Standard Page

If you would like to create a new web page on an established template and/or make updates to content, including images, text, and linked files. Time must be factored in to review files for brand and ADA compliance.

Web Page – Custom Design 

f you would like to create a new web page on a new template. Time must be factored in to review files for brand and ADA compliance. Any changes to the design after the page has been completed will extend production time.

Writing – Copy/Edit  

Composing new writing or editing drafted writing for web sites, program materials, designed pieces, articles, official institutional documents, etc.

Writing - Speech  

Working with those who will be public speaking at official college events. Production time includes initial meeting, drafts, edits, and rehearsal.  

4-6 weeks
