February 8, 2019 – Carol Yaracz of Drums, a student at King's College, recently presented original research at the Joint Mathematics Meeting held in Baltimore, Md. The Joint Mathematics Meeting is the largest mathematics meeting in the world; it is a national conference sponsored by the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America. Yaracz presented a “Wide and Latin Integer Partitions” poster, which is an ongoing research project with Dr. Janine E. Janoski.

A senior math and computer science double major, Yaracz is a member of the college’s Monarch Dancers and is co-president of the college’s Coding Club. She is a member of the Sigma Zelta honor society, a consistent dean’s list student, and is also an assistant teacher at the dance studio All That Dancing dance studio in Hazelton.
