Feb. 27, 2017 - King’s College will host a free public screening of “Aranyadeb,” a Bengali feature film about two friends living in Kolkata who share the same soul, at 2 p.m., on Monday, March 13, in Room 90 of the Mulligan Physical Science Center. The film’s director, Debasish Sen Sharma, will introduce the film and lead an interactive session afterwards with the audiences. The event is sponsored by the Public Policy and Social Research Institute at King’s.

Feb. 24, 2017 - King’s College will offer diverse writing workshops, roundtable discussions, and open readings as part of the first Creative Writing Conference on Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25, on the College’s campus in Wilkes-Barre. The conference is sponsored by the English Department and King’s Campion Society, a student organization dedicated to writing.

Feb. 16, 2017 - Patrick J. Murphy, a 1996 graduate of King’s College, decorated military veteran, attorney, former US Congressman, and, most recently, Under Secretary of the US Army, will provide the address at King’s 68th Annual Commencement exercises to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Mohegan Sun Arena. Approximately 500 students will receive either a bachelor’s or master’s degree at the ceremony.
