MassMutual Scholars Program Offers $150,000 in Scholarships to Multicultural College Students
Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company is offering a national scholarship for high-achieving African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Hispanic students interested in careers in the insurance financial service industry.
This year the program will offer thirty $5,000 college scholarships
Eligible students of all majors will be considered who are entering their sophomore, junior, senior, or 5th year senior at an accredited U.S. college or university and are interested in pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry.

The Appalachian Health Care Human Resources Society
The AHCHRS is offering a scholarship in the amount of $2000.00 to individuals majoring in Human Resources or a related field.
Eligible Applicants:
- Human Resources major or a Business major with a minor in Human Resource Management/Administration.
- An undergraduate student in their Junior or Senior Year or a Graduate degree student.

The Get Prepped LSAT Prep scholarship is available to students interested in applying to law school. One or more grants of $1000 are awarded twice yearly (January 30 and June 30). The National Federation of the Blind
The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) is a national organization of blind persons that believe in promoting the opportunities of blind students. There are thirty national scholarships awarded annually ranging from $3000 to $12000. The National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania (NFB of PA) share in its commitment to aid blind students also award two college scholarships, each in the amount of $1000. Pennsylvania residents are eligible for both the national and the state scholarships and should submit both applications according to the separate directions on each application.

Dr. Arthur and Helen Horvat Foundation Scholarship Fund
Applicants can apply on-line at www.csascholar.org. The deadline for applying is April 15, 2012.
Applicants are instructed to complete the packets and submit them on-line and will also be given a lost of additional materials that they must submit by mail.

Price Chopper Golub Foundation is offering ten scholarships to students who live within our marketing area. Eight of these scholarships are for graduating high school seniors planning on attending college as fully matriculated student for the Fall 2012 semester.
The Junior College Transfer Scholarship is for a graduate or graduating student of a community of junior college, transferring to a four year college or university, as a junior, starting in the Fall 2012 semester.
The Graduate or Professional School scholarship is for a graduating college student or returning student who is planning on attending graduate school as a fully matriculated, first year graduate student for the Fall 2012 semester.

Pulaski Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be of a polish background (meaning one or both parents must be polish)
- Must be a full-time/four year undergrad student, having completed their first year and attending one of the local colleges/universities in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton Area.
The recipient will be selected by a three-panel committee of professional/business people. The selection will be based on:

KidsChance of PA Scholarships
To be eligible for a scholarship grant, applicants must have a parent who has been killed or seriously injured as a result of a work related accident that meets the criteria of the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act and that has resulted in demonstrated financial need.
Applicants must be within the ages of 16 to 25 and be accepted by an accredited, post-secondary educational institution.
Graduate students are not eligible.

Four year Full Tuition Scholarship. Open to first generation college students of Hispanic Heritage who have applied and been accepted to King's College by February 1st. The Anne Ford Scholarship
The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 award given to a high school senior with an identified learning disability (LD) who will be pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The National Center for Learning Disabilities, Inc. (NCLD) is seeking applicants for the Anne Ford Scholarship, which is available to students of high merit with an identified learning disability (LD) in public or private secondary schools. To be eligible for the Anne Ford Scholarship, an applicant must:- Have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Have demonstrated financial need
- Show documentation of an identified learning disability

Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund
The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund® benefits financially needy dependent children, spouses, and domestic partners (1) of 9/11 victims, including airplane crew and passengers, World Trade Center and Pentagon workers and visitors, and relief workers, including firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement personnel.
Families of Freedom Scholarships are available for children, including those born after September 11, 2001, who enroll in a program of postsecondary study by age 24. Those children who turn 24 during their course of study must then continue their program of study uninterrupted, with the exception of summer vacations, in order to continue receiving scholarship assistance. Spouses and domestic partners may apply for Families of Freedom scholarships through 2012.
Scholarships may be used to attend an accredited vocational-technical school, trade school, two-year college, four-year college, or university located in the United States. Families of Freedom Scholarship recipients may receive scholarship awards for up to four years, or the equivalent if attendance is part-time, depending on total funding available. Funds are available for undergraduate study only.
