King’s College Theatre Department will open its 2025–26 Mainstage Season with Who Am I?: Echoes of Identity, a showcase of eight original one-person performances. Directed by assistant professor Jahmeel Powers, the production will run Sept. 9–11 at 12:20 p.m. in the George P. Maffei II Theatre as part of the newly revived “Brown Bag Theatre” series.

The “Brown Bag Theatre” series, first launched by Brother James “Bro” Miller, a beloved former department chairperson and passionate advocate for theatre at King’s College, was recently reinstated in his memory. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy the performances.

In Who Am I?: Echoes of Identity, student performers present original solo works that incorporate song, dance, poetry, and other creative elements. Set against the backdrop of an underground New York City open mic club, each piece explores the transformative power of theatre in answering one of life’s most enduring questions: “Who am I?”

Performances will be held in the George P. Maffei II Theatre, located in the Mulligan Physical Science Center at 133 N. River St., Wilkes-Barre. Tickets are $5–$10, free for current King’s College students with ID, and available at https://www.onthestage.tickets/kings-college-theatre. Reservations may also be made via email at boxoffice@kings.edu or by phone at (570) 208-5828. Tickets will be available at the theatre box office on the day of the show.

This limited engagement will be presented for three performances only
