The King’s College Theatre Department, Multicultural and International Student Program, and the Black Student Union welcomes the community to the annual “Unity: A Black History Month Celebration,” a dynamic talent showcase on Tuesday, Feb 24, 2026 at 7 p.m. celebrating Black excellence, creativity, and culture.
The event is free and open to the public. The George P. Maffei II Theatre is located in the Mulligan Physical Science Center at 133 N. River St., Wilkes-Barre.
The King’s College Theatre Department, Multicultural and International Student Program, and the Black Student Union launched the Unity Showcase last year as a creative space for storytelling, celebration, and collective reflection through artistic expression.
This year’s showcase features powerful performances in spoken word, singing, dancing, stepping, and more, highlighting the diverse talents of students and community members. The 2026 theme, “Resilience,” will be woven throughout the evening as performers reflect on the strength, perseverance, and the enduring impact of Black history and culture.
