King’s College Expands its Tuition Match to Connecticut and Delaware Residents

King’s College today expanded its Tuition Match Scholarship program so that students from New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware can attend the College at the same rate they would pay to enroll in a premier state institution.

The College now factors residency from those states into an incoming student’s total financial aid package, reducing the tuition and fees to match the latest published figures of Rutgers University—New Brunswick, the University of Delaware, and the University of Connecticut.

While the College’s tuition starts at $42,600, students are typically awarded between $20,000 and $26,000 in merit-based scholarships, with an average institutional award of $24,000. Using the above state institutions as reference points, the Tuition Match Scholarship program now grants students from New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut additional aid to lower their annual tuition to $17,929, $16,810, and $21,044, respectively.

The program, which was first announced for New Jersey residents last year, is adjusted annually to match changes to in-state tuition figures. It is available to residents of those states—as long as they remain eligible—for up to eight consecutive semesters of their undergraduate study or completion of their bachelor’s degree.

“The financial benefits of staying local are an important factor in a family’s higher education decision,” said Chris Dearth, vice president for enrollment management. “That’s why we’re giving even more students the same rate they would pay at a flagship state school so they can explore King’s without having to worry about losing their in-state tuition discount.”

“Given how helpful this has been for our incoming New Jersey students, it was a natural fit for us to expand the program to residents from our other major sending states,” he continued.

Any federal financial aid received after submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be applied to the student’s remaining balance.

The scholarship package covers tuition and fees only. Expenses associated with housing and meals are not included.

Interested students can apply for admission to King’s College and submit their FAFSA using King’s College code 003282. Families can learn more about eligibility and requirements at www.kings.edu/match.
