Monarch Memories: An Alumni Oral History Project
Every Monarch has a story—and we want to hear yours.
King’s College is proud to launch Monarch Memories, a special initiative designed to collect and preserve the personal stories of our alumni. In partnership with PCI (Publishing Concepts), we’re inviting Monarchs from every era to share reflections on their college experiences and the ways King’s has shaped their lives. These stories will be compiled into a commemorative book and archived digitally to celebrate the enduring legacy of a King’s education.
The Project
With thousands of living alumni, it would take years to connect with each of you individually. That’s why we’re partnering with PCI to help gather stories from Monarchs near and far—stories that reflect the heart, history, and mission of King’s. Whether it’s a moment of transformation, a favorite tradition, or a meaningful relationship formed on campus, your memories matter.
Have You Moved?
As part of this project, PCI will also help us update our alumni contact information so we can stay better connected. If you’ve moved or lost touch, this is a great opportunity to rejoin the Monarch community and ensure you receive news, updates, and opportunities from the College.
Your Story
So what Monarch Memory will you share?
- Did a professor or mentor change your life?
- Did you meet your best friend—or your future spouse—at King’s?
- Can you trace your career or values back to your time as a student?
- Were you part of a historical moment on campus?
- Are you part of a Monarch legacy family?
Our PCI Partnership
With limited staff and resources, King’s couldn’t take on a project of this size alone. That’s why we’ve partnered with PCI, whose trained interviewers are ready to hear and document your stories with care and professionalism. PCI will help compile the stories into the Monarch Memories commemorative book. Please note: your contact information was provided to PCI exclusively for this project and will not be sold or used for unrelated marketing.
Do I Have to Buy Something?
No. Participation in Monarch Memories is completely free. The project is funded by alumni who choose to purchase the commemorative book or other optional keepsakes. Purchasing is entirely optional. You do not need to make a purchase to contribute your story or be included in the book.
What’s Next?
Soon, you may receive a postcard, phone call, or email from PCI with information on how to participate. We encourage you to follow the instructions to update your contact details and schedule a time to share your story. PCI will collect alumni stories over the coming months before entering the editing and production phase.
