Creative Services Lead Times

Your request will be reviewed and escalated based on scope, timeliness, production time, and budget. Priority will be given to projects that provide the highest impact to the College and align with current marketing efforts. Please note that the services requested may not be the most appropriate solution for your project, and an Office of College Marketing and Communications staff member will be in contact to review your goals and finalize the approach.

Design - Branded Merch

Branded merchandise lead time
Description Production Time
Design assistance for any apparel or merchandise that will feature official King's College logos or identity marks. Please note that any pieces that use King's College identity assets, especially those being sold to the public, must be approved by the OCMC. 2-4 weeks

Design - Digital

Digital design lead time
Description Production Time
Event poster or graphic to be used in email or social media post or advertisement; website graphic; or corner campus billboard. These pieces are often paired with printed designs. Advertising placement requests must align with current marketing efforts. 3-6 weeks

Design - Print

Print design lead time
Description Production Time
Event poster, invitation, or program; informational brochure or handout; academic flatsheet; mailer; text-lock up or logo. These pieces are often paired with digital designs. Advertising placement requests must align with current marketing efforts. 3-6 weeks

Media - Event

Media event lead time
Description Production Time
If you are hosting an event and wish to have local media present for coverage. This is ideal for important institutional news and developments or large public events. Please note, not all submissions are appropriate for event coverage and alternative solutions may be recommended. 3-4 weeks

Media - Release

Media release lead time
Description Production Time
If you have any new, impactful information that is important for the community to know, such as a major announcement; significant program, student, or employee achievement; or an upcoming event. If applicable, a photo can be arranged to accompany a release (see "Photo - Single" below). Please note, not all submissions are appropriate for press releases and alternative placement may be recommended. 2-3 weeks

Media - Social Post

Social media lead time
Description Production Time

Social media posts include a written description, an accompanying image or graphic, and any relevant links. Often done in coordination with other creative and media requests. If all necessary materials are provided and no creative graphics or major edits (outside of grammar or copyediting) are needed, social media posts can typically be turned around within one business day. 

Please note, not all submissions are appropriate for social media and placement requests must align with current marketing efforts. Alternative placement may be recommended.

1-2 weeks

Photo - Single

Single photo lead time
Description Production Time
Requests for a single image, often a professional headshots or “grip and grin” photo used for media releases or social media. Please schedule one to two weeks in advance and allow for up to one week to process the photo. 1-2 weeks

Photo - Event or Production

Photo production lead time
Description Production Time
When a photographer is needed to photograph an entire event. These productions require advanced scheduling and planning with a hired, external photographer and will depend on their availability. Budget a minimum of $250/hour. Quotes will be provided to you prior to booking. Please allow for one to two weeks for the photographer to process and deliver photos. 6-8 weeks

Video - Production

Video production lead time
Description Production Time
Video productions booked in half- or full-day sessions using an external vendor. These productions require storyboarding, advanced scheduling, production, and post-production editing. Budget anywhere from $1,500-5,000, although each project cost will be based on a variety of factors. Quotes will be provided to you prior to booking. Schedule pending production company availability.  6-8 weeks

Video - Social Post

Social media video production lead time
Description Production Time

Creating short-form video content optimized for social media or email campaigns, including a combination of sound, on-screen text, and music.
Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the request and availability of assets (e.g., video clips, photos, script, captions). Requests requiring original filming, scripting, or extensive editing will need additional lead time.


Please note that not all submissions are appropriate for social media, and placement requests must align with current marketing strategies. Alternative placement may be recommended.

Web - Update

Web update lead time
Description Production Time
Updates to content, including images, text, and linked files. Time must be factored in to review files for brand compliance and be made ADA accessible.
1-2 weeks

Web - New Page

New webpage lead time
Description Production Time
If you would like to create a new web page. Time must be factored in to review strategy for a new page, draft and/or review writing, source images and/or video, review files for brand and ADA compliance, and develop the page. 2-3 weeks

Writing - Copy/Edit

Writing copy/edit lead time
Description Production Time
Composing new writing or editing drafted writing for projects such as web pages, program materials, designed pieces, articles, or official institutional documents.  Writing, once reviewed and approved by the requester, will be forwarded to creative for layout if part of the submission. Please note, production time for design is in addition to time for writing or editing. 2-3 weeks

Writing - Speech

Speech writing lead time
Description Production Time
Working with those who will be public speaking at official college events. Production time includes initial meeting, drafts, edits, and rehearsal. 4-6 weeks

Media Relations

The Office of College Marketing and Communications proactively shares the incredible work our students, faculty, staff, and alumni through press releases, articles, social media, newsletters, and annual publications. As we bring visibility to our mission and successes, we also respond to media inquiries, coordinate press events, and assist journalists seeking faculty experts or official comment. The Office also oversees policies relating to internal and external communication as well as the production of King's Magazine.
