Andrew Wojcik, Ph.D.
Biography
Andrew Wojcik, Ph.D., is a special educator with more than 20 years of classroom experience supporting students with complex needs. He previously worked for VisionQuest, Albemarle County Public Schools, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Wojcik is interested in developing the next generation of highly trained and adaptable special educators. As a faculty member at King's College, Dr. Wojcik works to include undergraduate and graduate students in peer reviewed scholarship.
His research and scholarship focuses on (1) effectively educating students with complex support needs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; (2) the special education teacher shortage, (3) post-secondary transition for individuals with complex support needs, and (3) inclusion of students with complex support needs in extracurricular activities.
Dr. Wojcik currently serves as a co-principal investigator for the King's College Noyce Grant NSF Award No: 2344886.
