Program Overview

Our Special Education (PK–12) degree concentration prepares future educators to support students with a wide range of physical, sensory, intellectual, and behavioral disabilities. Students learn to adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of learners with mild to moderate disabilities while also gaining strategies to teach foundational skills to those with more significant challenges.

At King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., we emphasize the importance of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and train our students to effectively assess learners and develop personalized plans that promote academic and personal growth.

King’s offers a unique track for students to double major in Elementary Education PK-4 and Special Education PK-12.
