Program Overview

Our Secondary Education program prepares future educators to teach and inspire students in grades 9–12. With a strong foundation in both educational theory and subject-specific content, students develop the skills needed to create engaging lessons, manage classrooms effectively, and support adolescent learning and development.

Teaching at the high school level requires a deep understanding of how teens think, learn, and prepare for life after graduation—whether that’s college, a career, or other pursuits. Graduates of our program are equipped not only to teach but to lead, mentor, and make a lasting impact during some of the most formative years in a young person’s life.
