King’s College announced the creation of the William P. & Mary K. Stavishak Scholarship Fund, which was recently established by William R. Stavishak in honor of his parents’ enduring legacy of sacrifice and support for education.

The William P. & Mary K. Stavishak Scholarship Fund is established to provide financial support to students enrolled in the 3+2 Dual Degree Engineering Program who have been accepted and intend to attend the University of Notre Dame to complete their engineering degree. The scholarship reflects William P. Stavishak’s deep admiration for the University and its storied football program.

“Despite the struggles during the Great Depression and World War II, my parents lived selflessly and always helped others,” said William R. Stavishak. “This scholarship reflects their values and offers future engineers the chance to pursue their goals with that same spirit.”

The 3+2 program allows students to complete three years at King’s College followed by two years at a partner institution like Notre Dame, earning degrees from both schools. The Stavishak Scholarship aims to ease the financial burden of this path while fostering academic and personal excellence.

“This gift honors the Stavishak family’s legacy while opening doors for students driven to make a difference,” said Greg Morgan, vice president for institutional advancement at King’s College.
