Tara Mangan, Ed.D., is an instructor of environmental and sustainability studies. She began teaching at King's in 2012 and joined the environmental program full-time in 2019. She teaches courses in sustainability, environmental psychology, environmental education, and environmental art.
She completed an Ed.D. in 2025 from University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in educational sustainability with a concentration in ecological thought. Her graduate work explored ecological literacy in higher education. Her teaching interests focus on the psychological and social dimensions of environmental issues.
Dr. Mangan is a certified interpretive guide through the National Association of Interpretation and a certified forest school teacher through the Forest School Teacher Institute.
Her other interests include spending time outdoors with her husband, Mark, and daughter, Renny, and hiking, gardening, and beekeeping.
