Michelle Gauntlett is a graduate of the King’s College Physician Assistant Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2000. Upon graduation she worked in Family Practice and Internal Medicine for four years. She then moved into Rheumatology and has been practicing Rheumatology for the past 20 years. She continues to practice Rheumatology on a part-time basis. This allows her to stay up to date with the skills necessary to provide current medical care in today’s fast-paced, and ever-changing, medical field. She aspires to pass this knowledge to students throughout their clinical rotations.
Mrs. Gauntlett joined the faculty in 2022. She is the Assistant Clinical Director for the Physician Assistant Program and aids in the advisement and assessment of students, clinical site development and recruitment, and clinical curriculum review and development. She teaches Rheumatology in the didactic phase along with assisting in physical diagnosis lab and OSCEs. She is a fellow member of the AAPA and PSPA.
Outside of teaching and practicing medicine, Mrs. Gauntlett enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She enjoys the beach, exercising, being outside, and cooking.
