Dr. Church taught for one year at the University of Rhode Island and then matriculated to King's College. This is his 50th year at the College, and he's taught 26 different courses in psychology. Dr. Church served as Director of Clinical Psychology at First Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric hospital in the Wilkes-Barre area. He awarded internships to over 300 students there, granting them experience in group therapy and conducting psychological testing. Dr. Church has been the Psychology Department chair for two seven-year terms.

Dr. Church was asked to be a member of group discussion for the United Nations on the importance of educational opportunities worldwide, especially for young girls.
