Garrett Barr, Ph.D., is an ecologist who primarily studies predator-prey interactions and environmental degradation in streams. Students can use field or lab work to ask questions related to the abundance of organisms, their behavioral interactions, or impacts of water quality. He is also conducting acoustic surveys for bats with students so they can ask questions about local bat habitat use. When not teaching or mentoring student researchers, Dr. Barr is probably riding a bicycle, exploring the region on a motorcycle, or growing fruits and nuts on his hobby farm.
