Nov. 5, 2013 - The King’s College Theatre Department will perform David Lindsay-Abaire’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, “Rabbit Hole,” on Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. in the George P. Maffei II Theatre.
Nov. 1, 2013 - Dr. Colin Heydt, associate professor of philosophy at the University of South Florida, will examine the philosophy of the Declaration of Independence during a free public lecture at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Burke Auditorium at King’s College.
Nov. 1, 2013 - Members of the King’s College’s Sports Medicine Society, along with members of the department’s faculty, recently took part in the twelfth annual “Trick-or-Canning” food drive.
Members of the group, dressed in Halloween costumes, collected more than 1,000 non-perishable food items from neighborhoods in Kingston and Mountain Top to be donated to St. Vincent dePaul Kitchen.

Oct. 21, 2013 - A traditional Red Mass was celebrated recently in the King’s College Chapel of Christ the King. The Mass is held annually on the same day as the opening session of the United States Supreme Court to invoke God’s blessing upon members of the legal profession, including members of the King’s College community and the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association. A Red Mass has been hosted at King’s since 2002.
Oct. 31, 2013 - Dr. Brian Mangan, professor of environmental science/biology and director of the Environmental Program at King’s College, received a number of summer grants to support his ongoing research of the Susquehanna River.
Mangan received a total of $37,500 in grants and in-kind equipment; $12,500 from the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds; $10,000 from the Degenstein Foundation; $5000 from PA Sea Grant, in partnership with the PA Fish and Boat Commission; and $10,000 in sampling equipment from KMS LLC, of Kingston.
