May 27, 2104 - Artist Omar Rodriguez, Jr., will display a collection of works focusing on life’s hidden inspirations in variety of mediums, including graphite drawings, black-and-white charcoal works and oil paintings during a free, public exhibition, titled “Disguised Inspirations,” from Monday, June 2, through Monday, Aug. 11, in the Widmann Gallery at King’s College.

“Art is your own personal journey, to explore interests and create emotions,” Rodriguez Jr. said. “We all are guilty of overlooking the simple things life may offer.”

May, 22, 2014 - Twenty four Luzerne County residents received academic awards during the 65th Commencement exercises of King’s College.

May 28, 2014 - King’s College Office Career Planning recently held an orientation session for students who registered for summer academic internships. Forty-one junior, senior, and graduate level King’s College students registered for summer semester internships at 36 sponsoring organizations.

Steven Davi, a resident of Williamstown, NJ, and a senior athletic training education and neuroscience major at King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.,has been awarded the Inaugural National Athletic Trainers’ Association District Two Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship was established to recognize deserving athletic training student with exceptional leadership skills and activities in the profession.

A graduate of St. Augustine Prep, he is the son of Jeana and the late Steven Davi.

May 13, 2014 - Dr. David Kyle Johnson, associate professor of philosophy at King’s College, has developed a course, titled “Exploring Metaphysics,” for The Teaching Company’s “The Great Courses” series, the nation’s leading educational media for lifelong learning and personal enrichment.

Based on the metaphysics course he teaches at King’s, “Exploring Metaphysics” dives into deep questions about the nature of persons and reality. The course is currently available at company’s website and as an audio book on Amazon.com.
