September 23, 2013 – Thirty-three junior, senior, and graduate level King’s College students are participating in fall semester internships at 26 sponsoring organizations.

King’s College is a Catholic College sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross.

Sept. 18, 2013 - Five King's College students are studying in foreign countries for academic credit during the fall semester.

Taylor Brainard was awarded a full-tuition scholarship through the Irish-American Scholars Program to study at the University of Ulster in Jordanstown, Northern Ireland. She is a junior majoring in marketing and mass communications.

Anthony Cardone is studying at Regent’s College in London, England, through Webster University. A junior majoring in history, Cardone was awarded a travel grant by Webster University.

Sept. 16, 2013 - Theologian Dr. Kathryn Getek Soltis will deliver the Peace and Justice Center’s Annual Barbara Sabol Memorial Lecture at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, in the Burke Auditorium at King’s College. Titled "Visiting the Prisoner: Theological-Ethical Reflections on a Forgotten Place,” the lecture will be open to the public free of charge. The program is co-sponsored by the McGowan Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility and Peace and Justice Center of Wilkes-Barre.

Sept. 9, 2013 - Three new full-time faculty members have joined King’s College for the academic year.

Rita Cross is an assistant clinical professor of physician assistant studies. She recently served as director of the Student Health Center at King’s. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and physician assistant certificate from King’s in 1982.

Sept. 5, 2013 - Twenty-nine King’s College students have begun their 14-week student teaching experience in neighboring elementary and high schools during the fall semester. The supervised student teaching experience is necessary to fulfill King’s degree requirements and to obtain a Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate.
