December 15, 2014 - “Washington Monthly” magazine again has named Wilkes-Barre’s King’s College as one of the nation’s best master’s degree-granting institutions. King’s was the only college or university in northeastern Pennsylvania to rank among the top 200 in the survey and placed fifth among all Pennsylvania colleges and universities.

December 12, 2014 - Seventeen King’s College students have begun a 14-week student teaching experience at area elementary, junior high, and high schools.  Supervised teaching student teaching is necessary to fulfill King’s degree requirements and to obtain a Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate.

King’s College is a Catholic College Sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross.

December 9, 2014 – Two local business leaders have been appointed to the King's College President's Council at the council's fall meeting in October. Appointed to three-year terms were John Panzitta, president of Panzitta Enterprises, Inc. in Wilkes-Barre, and Eileen Song, financial advisor at Edward Jones in Wilkes-Barre. 

Panzitta of West Pittston earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from King’s in 1984. He is president of the Board of Directors of the West Pittston Library and board member of the West Pittston Historical Society. 

December 2, 2014 – The King’s College Community recently recognized employees for their service to the College during an annual Patron’s Day Mass held on the Feast of Christ the King, the College’s patron.

December 1, 2014 - The conference "The Idea of a Catholic College: Charism, Curricula, and Community" took place in September on the King's College campus. Reverend John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., President of the University of Notre Dame, provided the keynote address at the conference. Ten other invited speakers participated in three panel discussions, and the program included as thirty-plus presentations by forty-some faculty and administrators from institutions across the country.
