January 30, 2020 – Tom DelVecchio, Account Manager from Waste Management, recently visited King’s College campus to present a check for $5,000 to Rev. John Ryan, C.S.C., President of King’s College, in support of two innovative education programs. Waste Management donated to King’s as part of the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, which is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

King’s College will utilize the funds to provide on-campus experiences for high school students through its McGowan Hispanic Outreach Summer Residential Enrichment Program and its Young Scholars Program. Both programs offer high school students an early introduction to what it is like to be a fulltime college student and complete academic courses.

Waste Management has donated $19,500 in EITC contributions to King’s since 2015.

Tom DelVecchio, Waste Management Account Manager, Rev. John Ryan, C.S.C., Ph.D., President of King’s College.
