September 15, 2017 - “A Solution for the Healthcare Crisis” will be presented by Dr. Bernard Healey, professor of health care administration at King’s College, at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, in the Postupak Room, located on the first floor of the McGowan School of Business.

Healey’s presentation is sponsored by the Public Policy and Social Research Institute at King’s as part of the Fifty Minutes in Focus series.  Fifty Minutes in Focus is a series of brief, focused, lunch-time discussions on significant current events.  

After working for more than 20 years as an epidemiology manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Health in Kingston, Healey became a full-time professor at King’s in 1995. He was an adjunct faculty member at King’s since 1980. Healey earned a bachelor’s degree from King’s, master’s degrees from the Marywood College and Wilkes University, and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Healey’s most recent book, “Principles of Healthcare Leadership,” was published in June.  The book provides coverage of the topics vital to healthcare leadership success, including creativity and innovation, entrepreneurship, conflict, and team performance.
