Desiree Scott, a student at King’s College and the William G. McGowan School of Business, was awarded the Young Professional Intern of the Year Award presented by the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce at their 5th annual Young Professionals Awards night. The outdoor ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 23, at the Garden Drive In, Hunlock Creek. These awards represent outstanding young professionals in a variety of professional and volunteer categories who live and work in the Greater Wilkes-Barre area, are between the ages of 25-40, and are rising stars in their industries as well as their communities. Desiree is a senior Accounting and Management major with a minor in Forensic Accounting at King’s College. She is a Logistics Intern at PCC Aerostructures and has accepted a position in an accounting and financial development program, with PCC Aerostructures Corporate, post-graduation. During the fall semester, she works part-time on the weekends at a local cider mill in her hometown!
