October 24, 2019 - Seventeen King’s College students recently attended the annual two-day Career Day hosted by the College’s Washington, D.C., Area Alumni Club.

Students were able to attend career presentations, many of which were given by King’s alumni working in the Washington, D.C., area. Some of the general topics covered were opportunities in the Commerce Department, applying for federal jobs, and investing tips for recent college graduates.  Among the speakers at the event was the former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy, the former Assistant Secretary for Commerce and Trade, and representatives of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the Department of Commerce.

Students then had the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions to conduct more concentrated discussions on possible careers. Breakout sessions were led by King’s graduates employed in the accounting, project management, legal, and financial fields.
