Wilkes-Barre, Pa., April 5, 2023—King’s College was selected as the Gold Winner in the College category for the 2023 Times Leader Best of the Best Awards, receiving the distinction at a reception this past week.
Each year, readers are encouraged to nominate their favorite businesses in more than 100 categories with top nominees advancing to a voting round. The contest, which opened this past January, serves as a tool for supporting local businesses and the community.
Rev. Thomas P. Looney, C.S.C., Ph.D., president of King’s College, attended the reception to accept the award.
“It’s always wonderful to be recognized by our community for the outstanding work we do to form graduates who will use their talents to serve the common good—often right here in the Wyoming Valley,” he noted.
