IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ MESSAGE BELOW
Due to COVID, the ashes that have traditionally been smeared on your forehead will be sprinkled on the top of your head. This is a longstanding custom in Rome.
MASS AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF ASHES
We will celebrate masses on Ash Wednesday at 12:05 PM and 8:00 PM and distribute ashes. If you are planning, think 45 minutes!
COVID permits 40 people in the Chapel of Christ the King.
What if we hit 40 people?
We will hold a short non-Eucharistic Service behind the Chapel beginning at 12:10 PM and 8:10 PM. The service will include a brief call to prayer, a reading from Scripture, and the sprinkling of ashes. If you are planning, think 10 to 15 minutes.
Will there be other opportunities to receive ashes?
Yes, Campus Ministry will hold a 10:00 AM and a 4:15 PM outdoor prayer service in O’Connor Park. The service will include a brief call to prayer, a reading from Scripture, and the sprinkling of ashes. If you are planning, think 10 to 15 minutes.kingscampusministry
