McGowan School of Business

Built in 1991, The McGowan School of Business is named after William C. McGowan, a 1952 King’s graduate who founded MCI Communications. The McGowan School of Business is accredited internationally by the Association to Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). McGowan is home for majors in accounting, finance, management, marketing, economics, international business, human resources, computer information systems, mass communications and computer science.

McGowan is features state-of-the-art business education technology, including two collaboration-active learning rooms. These rooms have transformed the traditional classroom settings where students face the instructor with lectures or problem solving performed on one board or screen with group tables or learning pods for students to work at in a bi-directional setting using Barco WeConnect Collaboration technology.
