Nursing students participate in COVID-19 screening on campus
Nursing students and faculty participated in screening the campus community for COVID-19 during the spring 2021 semester. Two days a week nursing students and faculty assisted with COVID-19 screening on campus to ensure that students were safe to attend classes in person and participate in some extracurricular activities. Nasal screening swabbing was completed on all students and staff through a random sampling method. It was intended to identify infected people who were asymptomatic and did not have known, suspected, or reported exposure to COVID-19. The goal of this screening process was to help identify unknown cases so that measures could be taken to prevent further transmission.
