How did you select your Study/Intern Abroad location?

I initially researched myself and found South Africa to be the one that suited me best. It by far had the most adventure of any location I looked into.

Why did you want to study or intern abroad?

I find that you can learn so much about yourself, as well as others, when you are in a foreign environment. Plus, I knew it would make me appreciate so much more the places I came from.

What were the highlights of this experience?

Being at Africa's first World Cup, interacting with the students at my volunteer site, making new friends, enjoying amazing natural landscapes.

What surprised you the most?

How similar everyone is from all different ends of the planet.

How has (or how might) this experience affect your major and future career?

Reaffirmed for me that interactions with people are key to any successful situation.

What would you tell students considering studying or interning abroad?

Do it. You've got nothing to lose and an amazing memory to gain.
