Margaret Kowalsky (margaretkowalsky@kings.edu, 570-208-5986) is the Director of the Office of Study Abroad, where she works with faculty, staff, and students to create global learning opportunities on and off campus. Margaret brings 20+ years of experience in higher education to her position. Prior to King’s, she worked for both Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and its flagship partner Villanova University to build CRS's partnerships with US higher education. She spent four years at the Harvard Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research advancing dialogue and policy in multilateral contexts. Awareness of the most vulnerable, activism, and education on transnational themes like migration, climate change, hunger and trafficking have long been themes in Margaret's work. Margaret is certified in the Forum on Education Abroad's Standards of Good Practice and has a special interest in curriculum design and assessment around intercultural learning. She holds degrees from Wellesley College and Harvard Divinity School.
