Expert on Stoicism to Provide Keynote Address at Meeting of Eastern Pennsylvania Philosophy Conference at King’s Nov. 4

October 19, 2017 - Massimo Pigliucci, the K.D. Irani Professor of Philosophy at the City College of New York and a leading proponent of Stoicism, will provide the keynote address for the Eastern Pennsylvania Philosophy Conference at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 4, on the third floor of the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center at King’s College.  The lecture will be open to the public free of charge.

King’s faculty members perform chemistry and physics Halloween experiments for area children

October 16, 2017 - King’s College Chemistry and Physics Derpartment will present a traditional ghoulish exhibition of chemical delights in commemoration of National Chemistry Week and Halloween with the 21th Annual “Things that Go Boom in the Night” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Burke Auditorium, William G. McGowan School of Business, located on North River Street.

Nicholas Cafardi to deliver annual Feast of St. Francis Lecture at King’s

October 2, 2017 - Nicholas Cafardi, Dean Emeritus and professor of law at Duquesne University, will deliver the 2017 Feast of Saint Francis Lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in the Burke Auditorium at King’s College.  The free public lecture, titled “Revising Faithful Citizenship,” is sponsored by the McGowan Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility at King’s.
