Telephone: (570) 208-5857

The King's College Student Government exists to serve the needs and objectives of the College's student body, addressing campus and community issues. Acting as the voice for the student body, the Student Government attempts to facilitate student concerns into workable policy and decisive action by working with the administration and existing structures of the College. In addition, Student Government allocates grants through the requests of registered clubs and organizations from the overall Student Government budget.
The Student Government consists of an Executive Board and a Board of Representatives. The Executive Board consists of an elected President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and an appointed member of the Board of Representatives. Furthermore, each class has an elected President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three representatives. The President and three representatives from each class and the elected members of the Executive Board constitute the Student Government Board of Representatives.
Eight class officers serve as representative student liaisons to each of the following departments of the College: campus ministry, dining services, admissions, security, residence life, athletics, off-campus concerns, and Student Government executive board. In addition, the General Board also consists of eight coordinator positions, which are chosen through appointment by the Executive Board:
1. Academic: Plans and executes forums between stu- dents and administrators that deal with student con- cerns on campus.
2. Diversity: Brings about diversity awareness through public speakers and other such forums.
3. International Student: Orientates foreign and in-
ternational students to the King's College Cam-
pus through planning and programming. Also
works with Diversity to plan Diversity Awareness Week.
4. Clubs and Organizations: Work closely with reg- istered clubs and organizations to plan events and coordinate fundraising.

other such activities. Also is in charge of main-
taining the Student Government Web Page.
8. Special Activities: Serves as a liaison with the plan- ning committees of Homecoming events and Par- ents Weekend, as well as other Campus wide
events.

The Student Government meets on a bi-weekly schedule. Classes, clubs, organizations, and individual students have traditionally been participants in S.G. dialogue. All members of the College Community are welcome and encouraged to attend Student Government meetings and activities. Students should never let their voice go unheard.
