STUDENT ORGANIZATION
REGISTRATION WITH STUDENT GOVERNMENT
All student organizations registered by the Student Government may apply
for the use of Student Government funds. Student Government funds will
only be allocated to an organization that has successfully passed the
audit of the previous year and has held a service/charity project that
year which was approved by the Student Government.
Criteria for Registration
1. The organization must be registered with the Office of Student Activities.
2. The organization must adhere to all regulations and policies of King's
College.
3. The organization must have elected officers.
4. The organization must have a constitution approved by its membership
that includes organization name, statement of purpose, criteria for membership
and the organization's procedures. The constitution must be on file in
the Student Government Office.
5. The organization must have an advisor chosen from the faculty or administration
of the college.
6. The organization will be subject to an annual financial audit by the
Student Government.
7. The organization will not discriminate on membership based on race,
religion, gender, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
8. The organization may not require any initiation rite that is contrary
to college policy.
Any organization will be registered upon receiving approval by a majority
of the voting members of the board of representatives.
