KING'S OFFERS SAT PREP COURSE,
SUMMER WORKSHOPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
June 23, 2005 – King’s College is offering a number of workshops for high school students this summer as part of EXPLORE!, a component of the College Discovery Program. EXPLORE! courses and workshops are being held at King’s through Aug. 5, and are intended for students entering grades 9-12.
One course specifically focuses on the new SATs and is designed to give students strategies and skills on the new version of the Scholastic Aptitude Test by rehearsing real SAT questions.
EXPLORE! also presents hands-on sessions including the basics of design, color typography, and images in the “Graphic Design Fundamentals” workshop; daily dissections of organisms in the “Animal Kingdom” workshop; and the artistry of stage makeup, and the skills of improvisation in the “From Shakespeare to Whose Line is it Anyway” workshop.
These are only a few of the workshops offered by the King’s College EXPLORE! program. Space is limited, early registration is encouraged.
For a complete schedule of course offerings, cost, and registration information, please contact the College Discovery Program at (570) 208-6052.
