KING'S COLLEGE HONORS PATRICK O'CONNOR

FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT

June 1, 2005- King’s College is honoring Patrick O’Connor with the Outstanding Professional Achievement Award during Reunion Weekend at the College’s Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center.

Patrick O’Connor is a 1964 graduate of King’s College. He is with Cozen O’ Connor, a national law firm based in Philadelphia with offices in 20 U.S. cities, London and Toronto. In 2004, Cozen O’Connor was ranked 73rd largest in the United States, and was also No. 5 as a “Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania.” O’Connor was named in the top 100 lawyers in Pennsylvania.

Patrick O’Connor received his J.D. from Villanova University and in 2002 was honored with the Gerald Abraham Alumni Award for Service. He is Chairman of the Board of Mellon Private Asset Management Mutual Funds. He sits on the boards of the Philadelphia Police Foundation, the Philadelphia Children’s First Fund, Temple University, Consultors for Villanova University School of Law of which he had been chairman, and is a former member of the King’s College Board of Directors.

During Reunion Weekend, King’s College will also recognize Elmer ‘Tippy’ Kozick, Wilkes-Barre, and Lucy Wujcik Baloga, Plymouth, with the Robert J. Ell Award for Service to Alma Mater; J.J. Murphy, Wilkes-Barre, with the Leo Award; and Erin Burke Cirelli, of Orange, N.J., will receive the Service to Society Award.
