HOWARD FEDRICK OF KING'S
NAMED 2005 WYE FELLOW
May 11, 2005–Howard Fedrick, Assistant Professor of History at King’s College, has been selected as 2005 Wye Fellow to participate in the Wye Faculty Seminar from July 23-29 at Queenstown, Md.
Howard Fedrick has taught history at King’s College for 13 years and, in addition, is marking his tenth year as Chairman of the Fine Arts Fiesta in Wilkes-Barre.
An interdisciplinary seminar for college and university faculty on Citizenship in the American Polity, co-sponsored by the Association of American Colleges and Universities and the Aspen Institute, the seminar assists professors from colleges and universities to relate their teaching to broad issues of citizenship in America.
The Wye Faculty Seminar was inaugurated in 1983 to encourage colleges to address the relationship between liberal education and basic citizenship responsibilities. Professors benefit greatly from collaborating with colleagues at similar colleges, and universities to probe ideas and values that underlie their teaching.
