HOW TO BUILD A HIGH-PERFORMANCE WORKPLACE

SUBJECT OF KING'S FAMILY BUSINESS FORUM

April 19, 2005– Winning Workplaces consultants Ken Lehman and A. Paul Singh understand how a high-performance workplace can increase employees’ commitment and enhance a family business’s competitive advantage. On Thursday, April 28, Lehman and Singh will address the Family Business Forum of King’s College William G. McGowan School of Business.

The Winning Workplaces workshop focuses on the essential characteristics of progressive, high-performance workplaces; provides specific strategies and practices; and explains how to apply these principles in the context of a family business.

Winning Workplaces is a non-profit consulting and training firm founded by the Lehman family, the former owner of Fel-Pro, Inc., a major manufacturer of automotive parts. Fel-Pro was nationally renowned for its innovative and progressive workplace practices and for its exceptional profitability and success, ranking No. 4 on Fortune Magazine’s 1998 list of “100 Best Companies to Work for in America.”

The talk is at 8 a.m. in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center at King’s College. The event is presented by the Family Business Forum, a learning and networking group composed of family businesses, program sponsors, and the students and faculty of King’s College under the direction of Patrice Persico of the William G.
