"PENNSYLVANIA'S FALLEN" HONORED

AT KING'S COLLEGE EXHIBITION

March 14, 2005–A series of mixed-media charcoal drawings by Mary Vallero will be on display at the King’s College Widmann Gallery in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center from March 19-31. The exhibit, “Pennsylvania’s Fallen,” consists of approximately sixty-eight portraits of soldiers from Pennsylvania who have died in Iraq.

A commemoration service will be held outside the Widmann Gallery in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 19, followed by a Meet-the-Artist reception. The public is invited.

Mary Vollero of Bellefonte, Pa., is an instructor in art at Penn State, Dubois. In addition to teaching, Vallero exhibits her printmaking as well as her digital work in photography and videos internationally.

The exhibition is free and open to the public from March 19 through March 31. Gallery hours: Mon., Thurs., and Fri., 10-4; Tue., Wed., 10-8. The Widmann Gallery, Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center, is located between North Franklin and North Main streets.
