FOUNTAIN ENSEMBLE POURS INTO KING'S, NOV. 10
November 3, 2005 – Fountain Ensemble, one of
its generation's most accomplished and versatile chamber music groups, will
perform a variety of compositions ranging from Baroque to contemporary classics
at King’s College on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center,
located between North Main and North Franklin streets.
The Fountain Ensemble performs on violin, viola, cello, and clarinet. They have
performed widely in the U.S. including several engagements in Carnegie Hall.
They are the winner of the 2004 Artists International’s New York Debut Award
and also received honors at the Concert Artists Guild and Chesapeake Chamber
Music Competitions.
The group, consisting of Anna Elashvili, Yonah Zur, Michael Angelo Larco,
Alistair MacRae, and Gilad Harel, is the musical nucleus and leadership of the
Fountain Chamber Music Society, an innovative group of up to 15 players
combining strings, winds, voice, piano, and percussion. Fountain Ensemble and
members of the Chamber Music Society have recorded music for two animated short
films produced by The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall.
