'WRITER'S WRITER' CHARLES BAXTER
LECTURES AT KING'S ON OCTOBER 26
October 17, 2005 – Novelist Charles Baxter,
author of Saul and Patsy and The Feast of Love, will be at
King’s College as a guest of the English department’s Visiting Writer
Program. Baxter will read excerpts from his novels and discuss his craft on
Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m.
Baxter’s other novels include First Light and Shadow Play. He
has received the award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and
Letters, and his novel, The Feast of Love, was a finalist for the
National Book Award. His fiction has been widely anthologized and translated
into ten languages.
Charles Baxter’s reading will be held in the Burke Auditorium of the William
G. McGowan School of Business on North River Street. The event is free and open
to the public. A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow. For
