March 27, 2019 – On March 13, Angelo J. DeCesaris, Vice President and Business Relationship Manager and Bill Joyce, Board Member for Fidelity Bank visited King’s College campus to present Rev. John Ryan, C.S.C., Ph.D., President of King’s College with a check for $10,000 in support of the College’s Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Program. Fidelity Bank donated to King’s as part of the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, which is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

March 25, 2019 - Jennifer Judge Yonkoski, assistant technical professor of English at King’s College, and several Northeastern Pennsylvania poets will host the college’s first-ever poetry retreat on Saturday, May 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center. The cost to attend the retreat is $25, which includes lunch, dinner, and refreshment service throughout the day. The registration deadline is Monday, April 25. Poets of all experience levels are welcome to attend.

March 22, 2019 - Area educators are invited to submit proposals for workshops centering on innovative teaching techniques that will be conducted during an annual evidence-based practices conference for Pre-K through high school teachers to be held August 7 at King’s College.

March 20, 2019 - Poetry in Transit, an award-winning program that showcases poems on Luzerne County buses, is currently accepting submissions for the 2019-2020 season. Submissions are open to any writer, regardless of age or location. The submission deadline is Friday, May 10.
