Oct. 9, 2013 - Following a national search, Corry Unis has been appointed vice president for enrollment management at King’s College, according to an announcement from College president Father John Ryan, C.S.C.
Formerly director of admissions at Alfred University, Unis has joined the King’s College Senior Staff and is responsible for leading the College’s admissions and financial aid functions of the College.
“Corry is a bright, dynamic, and energetic consensus-builder whose experience and vision will be a wonderful addition to King’s,” said Father Ryan in an e-mail announcement to the campus community. “I am confident that Corry will help our institution improve and grow in a critically important area.”
A resident of Mountain Top, Unis is the recipient of a master’s of science degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University. He earned his bachelor degree from Le Moyne College, where he worked for six years in various admissions capacities before joining Alfred University.
During Unis’s three-year tenure at Alfred, the University realized record applications and admissions with an accompanying improvement in the academic profile of each entering class.
“I am very excited to join the terrific community at King's!,” Unis said. “I am looking forward to forming lasting partnerships with the students, faculty and staff, as well as leading the enrollment team on a continued trajectory of success.”
Unis is an active member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling and New York State Association for College Admission Counseling, serving as a Delegate and chairing the Marketing Committee.
