September 7, 2017 - Kyle McKiernan, a sophomore marketing and management double major at King’s College, was one of only 80 student applicants from across the country chosen to attend the Marketing EDGE Collegiate Summit held this summer in New York City.

Founded in 1966, Marketing EDGE (Educate, Develop, Employ, and Grow) is a national non-profit designed to equip college students with skills being sought by employers.  The annual National Summit connects undergraduates with top professionals in marketing, allowing students to explore how the savviest companies and brands are creating targeted, multi-channel campaigns using digital, data-driven interactive strategies.

Marketing EDGE also sponsors an annual national marketing business plan competition that students in a King’s Principles of Marketing class participate.

Students applying for the summit were required to have a minimum grade-point-average of 3.0 (4.0 scale).

McKiernan is a member of the Cantores Christi Regis choral group, is secretary of the Comic Book and Media Club, and is a campus tutor.

McKiernan is a graduate of Red Land High School and is the son of Jay and Deborah McKiernan.
