Environmental Protection Advocate Sister Patricia Daly to speak at King's College, Oct. 30

October 23, 2007 – Environmental protection advocate Sister Patricia Daly, OP, executive director of the Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment, will speak on how stockholders can impact a business's environmental policies during a presentation at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Burke Auditorium of King's College's William G. McGowan School of Business.
 
Entitled “Can Your Investment Strategy Change the World? Preaching Global Warming and Sustainability in the Boardroom,” the lecture is free and open to the public. The presentation is sponsored by the King's College Public Policy and Social Research Institute and The McGowan Center for Ethics and Public Life.
 
The Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment is a regional alliance of Roman Catholic investors and uses the power of its shareholder vote to pressure companies to take action on issues ranging from global warming to healthcare to Darfur.
