May 14, 2009 – The National French Contest, sponsored by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French, concluded with 59 chapter and 24 national winners from a pool of nearly 348 elementary to high school student entrants from public and private schools in the Wyoming Valley, Scranton, Pocono, Hazleton, and South Williamsport areas.
