King’s Circle K Club hosting 12-hour dance marathon

April 3, 2009- King’s College Circle K Club is hosting “Valley Rally,” a 12-hour dance marathon benefitting the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville. It will be held from noon to midnight on April 25 in the King’s College gymnasium.

Circle K Club, an international community service club sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Wilkes-Barre, will be teaming up with other local groups and clubs, including area high school Key Clubs, to host the event.

Dancers must be of at least high school age and are required to raise a minimum of $25 to donate to the hospital.  The dancer that raises the most money will win a prize and all dancers will receive free food and drinks during the marathon.

The event is open to the public with a $5 donation, which includes free pizza, a drink, and Rita’s Italian Ice.  Other food will also be available for purchase, such as Hillside Farms Ice Cream, Domino’s Pizza, and Dunkin Donuts.  There will also be music, games, basket raffles, and a moon bounce. The King’s Monarch dancers will also perform.  The groups hope to raise $2,500 for the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
